Wood Flooring Stains - Oak
We find that staining works best on oak, and
within reason, we can supply flooring stained to the colour of your
choice.
Our standard colours are shown below.
There are other combinations possible such as brushing to leave
the harder grain exposed and give an uneven
surface; brushing, staining, then sanding which leaves the stain in
the “grooves” which have been formed by the
brushing, but removes it on the surface, giving the floor a textured,
aged appearance; liming, which lightens the
natural colour of the wood.
